• Develop and implement a brand and content strategy that establishes Camus as the leading authority in reshaping how utilities plan and manage the grid, integrating flexibility into everyday grid operations.
• Create engaging product narratives that link our software platform to the larger industry narrative—this involves not only promoting a product but also expanding a category.
• Oversee our LinkedIn activity, maintaining a rhythm of more than 3 posts weekly from the company page and supporting individual contributions from team members.
• Collaborate with finance to manage marketing objectives and budget. Measure key metrics—ensuring efficiency, speed, and impact throughout the marketing funnel.
• Strategize and enhance our events, memberships, and conference participation—transforming each appearance into a content-driven experience rather than just a booth presence.
• Design and execute unique campaigns that blend exceptional content with intelligent distribution, targeted at specific audience segments like utilities, data center developers, and regulators.
• Delegate effectively to agencies, freelancers, and AI tools to optimize output and impact while working with limited resources.
• Build relationships with key media partners for both paid and earned media placements.
• Work alongside sales and policy teams to ensure marketing initiatives align with immediate commercial objectives and long-term regulatory strategies.
• Exceptional brand and content skills. You are an adept writer capable of translating intricate technical subjects into narratives that resonate with executives, engineers, and policymakers, with a portfolio to demonstrate this ability.
• In-depth product marketing expertise. You know how to position a product within a wider market context, craft engaging product stories, and create content that guides prospects through a funnel—even when the “product” is a category-defining concept rather than just software.
• High velocity with strategic direction. You act swiftly, but not haphazardly. You establish a strategic vision and execute rapidly, adjusting as necessary based on what you learn.
• Channel-first mindset. You begin by identifying where the audience engages—conferences, LinkedIn, trade publications, regulatory proceedings, podcasts—and design content to suit those platforms, reusing material effectively.
• Comfort as a solo team member. You excel at achieving significant results through strategic delegation to agencies, contractors, and AI. You have succeeded as the first or only marketer in past roles.
• AI-first approach. You bring an AI-first perspective to marketing, actively designing and employing AI tools and systems in your work—such as content creation, campaign design, analytics, and workflow automation. While extensive experience isn’t necessary, you must exhibit genuine aptitude and a commitment to incorporating AI into your tasks. This is our top hiring criterion.
• Bonus: Experience in marketing to utilities, energy companies, or data center operators; growth marketing aimed at niche B2B audiences; familiarity with the energy transition or climate tech sector.
• Competitive base salary
• Comprehensive benefits, including 401k and FSA
• Fully remote work environment with options for in-office work in the Bay Area
• Flexible PTO, which we strongly encourage you to utilize!
• 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave
• A genuine opportunity to make a difference in combating climate change - we are creating the world we envision, and we invite you to be a part of it!
