This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Develop and manage our web analytics and tag management framework. Implement Segment events, conversion pixels, and ad partner tags while maintaining the GTM foundation to facilitate tracking and measurement without reliance on traditional engineering.
• Design and launch landing pages and campaign materials—create and deploy pages that enhance paid and organic campaigns, and construct the component systems that expedite future projects.
• Lead conversion rate optimization (CRO) and experimentation—in collaboration with our Director of Growth Marketing, establish and conduct A/B tests across our platforms to enhance conversion rates, and collaborate with Marketing to translate findings into improved user experiences.
• Ensure the technical integrity of our web properties—oversee technical SEO, site performance, structured data, and Core Web Vitals across all three brands to maintain optimal performance.
• Advance our CMS and publishing framework—manage the CMS platforms for our three brands and develop the infrastructure that empowers Marketing to operate independently on the web: creating component libraries, templates, and publishing workflows that allow the team to build, deploy, and iterate without requiring an engineering ticket. This involves assessing current systems, identifying shortcomings, and advocating for investments when the platform hinders progress.
• Influence the platform roadmap—provide a technical perspective on our long-term investments in web properties, including platform modernization and the tools that will enable Marketing to accelerate their efforts in the future.
• Oversee ad operations across all properties—act as the dependable and responsive contact for ad partner inquiries, including ads.txt, script tags, Prebid configuration, and GAM surface management. The success of ad revenue relies on this process functioning effectively, and you will ensure its success.
• Over 7 years of professional experience in building and maintaining marketing websites—proficiency in WordPress and/or Drupal is required. Experience with multi-brand or multi-property environments is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Google Tag Manager and familiarity with at least one Customer Data Platform (CDP) such as Segment, mParticle, or similar.
• Proficient in JavaScript to build components, troubleshoot integrations, and create custom GTM tags.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools in marketing, including web development, analytics, and real-time problem-solving across a diverse array of tools and technologies.
• Practical experience with A/B testing tools like Optimizely, VWO, LaunchDarkly, or similar.
• Knowledge of technical SEO fundamentals—you understand the significance of a sitemap, the importance of schema markup, and how to interpret a crawl report.
• Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders; you can bridge the gap between Marketing's objectives and technical implementation without needing direction.
• Bonus: Familiarity with PHP and hands-on experience with a headless or composable CMS (such as Contentful, Sanity, or Storyblok).
• Medical: In Tandem covers 100% of the premium for employees and 99% for additional family members.
• 401k: Up to a 4% match with immediate vesting.
• Paid leave for all new parents.
• Learning & Development stipend available for employees.
• Paid Time Off: 11 Holidays + Winter Break (3 Days) + Volunteer Time Off (1 Day) + Floating Holiday (1 Day).
• Personal Time Off: 15 days for 0-1 years of employment, 20 days for 1-3 years of employment.
• Supportive and flexible working environment—work from anywhere!
