This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +2 more states.
• Execute standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide support for key manufacturing processes across various plants.
• Identify and spearhead cost reduction opportunities through waste elimination, material substitutions, and equipment adjustments, which may be plant-specific or applicable across multiple plants.
• Lead and engage in continuous improvement projects to meet business goals, including collaboration with teams across business and functional areas.
• Manage and/or lead project teams that achieve a minimum of $500M in annual cost savings.
• Assist in developing reporting tools and progress updates for the designated business area.
• Support the divisional MPI team as required.
• Aid the Plant Engineering and Plant Departments in related projects and teams.
• Communicate the status of continuous improvement projects, including progress reports, identifying obstacles and recommending solutions, and integrating with other projects or CI initiatives.
• Train team members and plant personnel.
• Collaborate in analyzing and suggesting technological changes to enhance business positioning.
• Responsible for executing assigned CI projects and ensuring the overall improvement of metrics and benefits for the designated business, contributing to the achievement of strategic business objectives and goals; also accountable for identifying projects that may enhance processes, quality, and savings.
• Implement various process standards including start-up and shut-down procedures, resin transitions, troubleshooting techniques, resin handling, machine standard operating conditions, and QA standards.
• Understand and support the CI methodology in all assigned projects and teams.
• Create and provide justification for capital improvements aimed at enhancing quality and reducing costs.
• Engage with plant and business unit leadership on critical projects.
• Complete projects as assigned.
• Demonstrate technical expertise across multiple manufacturing processes.
• Capable of developing and implementing essential manufacturing technology standards of operation.
• Ability to create and implement crucial operational methods or standard work for process engineers and operators.
• Lead process standardization initiatives focusing on safety, service, quality, and cost.
• Achieve KPI goals, cost savings, and other metrics as defined by plant operational efficiencies and output.
• 5-7 years of professional experience in a manufacturing setting.
• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in engineering or industrial technology.
• Training and experience in Lean methodologies, Green/Black belt, or Kaizens.
• Proven ability to solve problems across various business processes and generate innovative ideas.
• Comprehensive understanding of business processes and process improvement.
• Exceptional analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated capability to achieve results through teamwork and perform effectively in a diverse work environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at learning new computer applications.
• Availability for on-site work, following a 24-hour on-call schedule.
• Willingness to travel approximately 10-20% of the time to support plants.
