Senior Managing Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the implementation, ongoing maintenance, and thorough evaluation and analysis of models, studies, and systems that employ actuarial principles.

• Creating intricate models and instructing others on model development.

• Formulating written and oral presentations that effectively convey information for decision-making purposes.

• Managing intricate daily projects that may involve non-actuarial departments and external stakeholders.

• Exhibiting a profound understanding of various actuarial domains and at least one business segment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).

• Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

• A minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in the health insurance or a related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in a management or lead role.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to create effective documentation, facilitate training and development, and engage in presentations.

• Proficiency in PC applications, including Word and Excel.

• Preferred: Skills in SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming languages.
