This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +12 more states.
• Design and implement tools utilizing Generative AI and advanced analytics to streamline pricing workflows and enhance analytical insights.
• Conduct statewide and segmented actuarial pricing assessments for homeowners insurance products, ensuring rate adequacy and effective risk segmentation.
• Create and refine pricing methodologies by integrating loss trends, expense assumptions, reinsurance costs, and outputs from catastrophe modeling.
• Align actuarial indications with financial performance and business goals in collaboration with actuarial leadership.
• Provide actuarial support for rate filings, including preparation of exhibits, documentation, and responses to regulatory inquiries.
• Collaborate with insurance product teams to facilitate rate changes, pricing evaluations, and state expansion efforts.
• Oversee class plan development and pricing assistance for new state launches and product expansions.
• Extract, clean, and validate data for catastrophe modeling; execute catastrophe models and analyze results to guide ratemaking decisions.
• Work alongside technology and data teams to enhance data quality, automate analyses, and modernize pricing processes.
• Stay informed on regulatory developments, market trends, catastrophe events, and structural changes that affect pricing strategies.
• FCAS or Career ACAS designation required.
• A minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in personal lines pricing.
• Proven expertise in actuarial pricing methods, including indications, trend analysis, and risk segmentation.
• Practical experience with SQL and Python (preferred) or R for data analysis and model development.
• Experience in independently conducting technically rigorous actuarial analyses.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for modeling and analytical purposes.
• A strong curiosity and practical experience in utilizing Generative AI tools to enhance actuarial processes.
