This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.
• Perform analyses, pricing, and risk evaluations to forecast financial results.
• Offer expertise and technical guidance regarding the effective and financially sustainable operation of the company's health plan divisions.
• Develop strategies for Value-Based Care (VBC), manage vendor relationships, and design contracts.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure VBC strategies are both analytically robust and operationally practical.
• Investigate and pinpoint new business prospects.
• Collaborate with Medicare/marketplace and Medicaid teams to evaluate the effects of program or policy modifications.
• Utilize knowledge of mathematics, probability, statistics, finance principles, and business acumen to compute financial outcomes.
• Supervise health plan performance, identify patterns, and suggest enhancements.
• Spearhead the creation of advanced financial models to evaluate financial risks and opportunities.
• ASA or FSA designation is a must.
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher is necessary.
• A minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience is required.
• Previous experience in a management role is preferred.
• Familiarity with vendors and vendor agreements is preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, SQL, Teradata, Snowflake, and/or SAS is preferred.
• Experience with claims and revenue data analysis and trend evaluation is preferred.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the U.S. without the necessity for employment-based visa sponsorship, either now or in the future.
