Senior Manager, UX

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Leadership & Management: Drive, mentor, and expand a global team of UX designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.

• End-to-End User Journey: Own the UX product strategy, considering the entire go-to-market (GTM) funnel, including marketing interactions, the Unity.com website layer, and the learning ecosystem.

• Commerce & Licensing: Supervise the design of intuitive commerce workflows, managing user and customer interactions with purchases, entitlements, and product licensing.

• Asset Store & Ecosystem: Hold UX ownership of the Asset Store, ensuring various asset components integrate seamlessly with other Unity products.

• Systems Thinking: Utilize design thinking to navigate complex systems and integrations, advocating for a cohesive experience across all touchpoints.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Commercial, Product, and Engineering leaders to synchronize design objectives with strategic business goals.

• AI Innovation: Advocate for UX enhancements and innovative design solutions in the realm of AI, ensuring Unity stays at the forefront of the industry.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven Leadership: Significant experience in UX leadership, with a successful history of managing and scaling design teams globally.

• Strategic Visionary: Capability to formulate a strategic perspective on a connected experience, focusing on the entire ecosystem rather than individual products.

• Systems Expert: Profound understanding of complex systems and integrations necessary for delivering a unified user experience.

• Communication & Influence: Exceptional collaborator with strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills; adept at leading design discussions and conducting reviews with senior leadership.

• Commerce Experience: Expertise in designing for commerce stacks, marketplaces, or licensing systems is highly regarded.

• Technical Awareness: An inherent curiosity about technology and a passion for enabling creativity through innovative tools.

• You might also have: Prior product design experience in AR/VR or 3D environments.

• Familiarity with Unity or other game engines.
