This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Spearhead the creation and implementation of engagement strategies for thought leaders that align with brand and disease education goals.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) necessary for supporting advisory boards, educational content development, speaker programs, and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs), the Speaker Bureau, and conference teams to guarantee consistent, high-quality execution across all engagement platforms.
• Work in partnership with the Senior Director of TLP to establish strategic objectives and organize advisory boards and steering committees that align with business priorities.
• Outline meeting objectives and discussion frameworks that yield actionable insights consistent with business priorities.
• Oversee the complete execution process, including cross-functional coordination, development and approvals of RFAs, advisor selection, faculty management, and agency supervision.
• Guide the creation of meeting materials and on-site assets (both digital and print).
• Direct the collection, synthesis, and communication of insights generated from advisory boards, steering committees, and thought leader engagements.
• Convert insights into actionable recommendations that inform brand strategy, educational initiatives, and field execution.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to pinpoint insight needs and ensure findings are effectively shared across the organization.
• Design, review, and manage educational and promotional materials (such as slide decks, training tools, and product theater content) to facilitate peer-to-peer engagement.
• Lead the development of national and regional product theater content, which includes faculty collaboration, slide reviews, and execution support.
• Ensure that educational programming and content align with identified learning gaps, strategic priorities, and evolving clinical evidence.
• Propel educational initiatives and thought leader engagement strategies that enhance understanding of disease states, inform business strategy, and support organizational objectives.
• Identify and manage relationships with key professional societies and third-party organizations.
• Foster collaborations that promote disease awareness and broaden educational outreach through educational partnerships, congress activities, faculty development opportunities, and society-sponsored initiatives.
• Build long-lasting partnerships that establish the organization as a trusted contributor within the clinical community.
• Create all associated content and assets to support each initiative.
• Supervise external agency partners involved in advisory boards, educational programming, content development, and congress initiatives to ensure high-quality deliverables, strong performance, and effective budget management.
• Manage timelines and workflows across multiple initiatives concurrently.
• Maintain operational excellence in all TLP activities.
• Collaborate with the Commercial Review Team (CRT) to oversee content approvals and ensure adherence to all regulatory, legal, and company policies.
• Guarantee that all activities comply with applicable standards governing promotional and educational engagements.
• Travel as necessary to support conferences, advisory boards, and thought leader engagements.
• Exhibit adaptability, ownership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Proactively seek opportunities to enhance TLP capabilities and impact.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• 4-5 years of experience in thought leader programming, medical education, or brand management; experience in endocrinology and/or orphan drugs is a plus.
• Proven expertise in thought leader engagement strategy, including the development and management of KOL relationships to support advisory boards and educational programs.
• Strong skills in generating and synthesizing insights, with the capability to translate complex findings into actionable strategic recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and foster alignment across commercial, medical, and operational teams.
• Experience in developing and managing educational content that aligns with clinical evidence and strategic priorities.
• Scientific and clinical knowledge, with the ability to engage credibly with thought leaders and translate clinical expertise into educational strategy.
• Proven track record of leading complex, multi-workstream projects with competing timelines and cross-functional dependencies.
• Experience in vendor and agency management is a plus.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
