This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Act as the primary on-site representative for all construction-related activities.
• Collaborate with project engineers, designers, and stakeholders to formulate construction plans and schedules.
• Develop comprehensive project timelines that detail milestones, tasks, and resource allocation.
• Monitor and modify project schedules as necessary to ensure completion on time.
• Oversee on-site construction teams, including subcontractors and company personnel.
• Assign tasks, delegate responsibilities, and provide clear guidance to team members.
• Promote a cooperative and productive work atmosphere, fostering teamwork and effective communication.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and company policies in all construction activities.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
• Supervise the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
• Track construction progress to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards.
• Carry out regular quality checks and inspections through the contractor’s QC inspectors to identify and rectify any deviations from project requirements.
• Report non-conformance and deficiencies via ProCore and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Coordinate the procurement and distribution of construction materials, equipment, and tools.
• Optimize resource utilization to minimize project costs while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Provide weekly QA/QC updates to project stakeholders, including company management and clients, regarding project progress and any potential issues.
• Document project activities, changes, and challenges in comprehensive reports.
• Identify and promptly address construction-related challenges and issues to prevent delays and sustain project momentum.
• Work alongside relevant teams to devise solutions and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with the allocated budget.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and suggest modifications to project plans when necessary.
• Mandatory Field Presence: Must be able and willing to work 100% on-site at construction project locations throughout the Tennessee Valley region.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in managing construction projects, preferably within the renewable energy or solar industry.
• Current OSHA 30; First Aid/CPR; and USACE Construction Quality Control Management certifications; or ability to obtain them within 30 days of hire.
• Strong understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills for effective team management and stakeholder collaboration.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (Microsoft Office & Procore), familiar with USACE RMS CM and EM-385-1-1.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for addressing challenges.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving project requirements.
