This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manages the preparation and assessment of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring precision, completeness, and adherence to US GAAP standards.
• Reviews consolidated financial reports, encompassing multi-entity and multi-department data, ensuring uniformity across reporting frameworks.
• Establishes closing procedures, timelines, and quality benchmarks across client portfolios.
• Analyzes financial outcomes, variance factors, and key performance indicators to ensure they meet business objectives.
• Oversees fundamental accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing cycles.
• Designs and executes scalable accounting processes and operational models to facilitate client expansion.
• Monitors operational effectiveness and identifies opportunities for efficiency, automation, and system enhancement.
• Ensures proper accounting treatment, structure of the chart of accounts, and system configuration across various engagements.
• Acts as a senior consultant to client leadership (CEOs, CFOs, founders), offering strategic financial insights and advice.
• Converts financial outcomes into clear, actionable narratives, covering cash flow trends, operational performance, and growth implications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is mandatory; CPA, CMA, CGMA is highly preferred.
• Over 10 years of advanced accounting experience, including public accounting, corporate accounting, or outsourced/client accounting services.
• Proven experience in leading accounting operations and financial reporting functions at a controller level or equivalent role.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, particularly in revenue recognition and complex accounting issues.
• Experience managing multi-entity, multi-system, or rapidly growing environments.
• Established ability to lead and develop teams, with a strong emphasis on quality and accountability.
• Advanced expertise in financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, QBO, Xero, AI-driven finance tools) and reporting tools.
• Experience with system implementations, process optimization, and scaling accounting functions.
• Exceptional executive communication skills, with the capability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
• Background in eCommerce, technology, or inventory-driven businesses is preferred.
