This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of TA Scan and OpenTA, ensuring data quality assurance, compliance workflows, platform maintenance, and effective collaboration with DevOps, engineering, and product teams to tackle operational challenges, prioritize requests, and maintain platform stability.

• Lead and mentor a small team.

• Supervise quality assurance across all platform environments: assess automated test outcomes, detect anomalies, and work with development teams to resolve issues, maintaining a keen eye for detail.

• Update and maintain platform manuals and operational documentation.

• Manage the entire client relationship: from technical setup and onboarding to training, conducting business reviews, and resolving client support tickets.

• Monitor account health proactively: manage user and client accounts to identify risks, training requirements, and engagement opportunities to facilitate renewals.

• Assist the sales team with demonstrations, responding to RFPs, performing prospect analyses, supporting trial periods, and participating in conferences.

• Collaborate with marketing and product teams on platform messaging, product positioning, and the development of sales enablement materials.

• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Highly effective in managing multiple workstreams simultaneously, independently prioritizing tasks, and delivering results without close supervision.

• Possess a strong analytical mindset and data literacy: comfortable with structured data outputs, data architectures, and familiar with data quality principles and validation workflows; capable of identifying anomalies and translating findings into actionable steps.

• Exceptional communication skills across various audience types; able to create technical documentation, conduct client demos and training sessions, and engage daily with engineers in a clear and constructive manner.

• Strong attention to detail: accuracy in data, documentation, and client-facing materials is essential.

• Proven capability to lead or coordinate a small team: including task assignment, mentoring, onboarding, and daily management of team members.

• Experience in client-facing roles: providing technical sales support, conducting training sessions, and performing business reviews with stakeholders in pharma or life sciences.

• Comfortable working in an AI-first environment: utilizes AI tools to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability across operations, quality assurance, and client deliverables. Experience with AI-assisted workflows or automation is a significant advantage.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Basic SQL knowledge or familiarity with tools such as JIRA, HubSpot, Salesforce, or SpiraTest is a plus.

• Solid understanding of software systems and the implementation lifecycle; capable of bridging the gap between business needs and technical teams.

• Familiarity with marketing, product positioning, or content strategy is an advantage — the candidate may contribute to messaging and go-to-market initiatives alongside product and marketing teams.

• QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Data Science, Information Management, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in a role that integrates data operations, client success, or business solutions within the pharma, biotech, or clinical data technology sectors.

• Solid understanding of clinical trial processes, disease groups, and the pharma/biotech commercial landscape. Knowledge of MeSH is an advantage.

• Demonstrated experience managing or coordinating a team in a flat or fast-paced organization.

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of additional languages is a bonus.

• Experience in a startup or scale-up environment is strongly preferred; must be comfortable with ambiguity and willing to assume responsibilities beyond a defined scope.
