This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Drive the strategic vision and ongoing development of Modern Slavery Services throughout Australia.
• Establish and nurture influential relationships with Commonwealth and State Governments, philanthropic entities, and sector partners.
• Act as a representative for The Salvation Army, serving as a respected advocate through conferences, forums, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy efforts.
• Oversee the operational management, governance, and performance of all national Modern Slavery programs.
• Manage contracts, funding agreements, budgets, risk assessments, and service compliance.
• Identify and secure new funding opportunities that foster innovation, sustainability, and service expansion.
• Spearhead the development and execution of national practice frameworks, along with research and evaluation initiatives.
• Cultivate high-performing, resilient teams comprising specialists with relevant expertise and lived experiences.
• Collaborate with various divisions within The Salvation Army to influence national policy and advocacy results.
• A degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
• Proven experience in expanding services through enhanced contract negotiations.
• Significant leadership experience in Modern Slavery and/or Family, Domestic, and Sexual Violence services.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-site service delivery and operational oversight.
• Strong comprehension of the factors, impacts, and interconnections between modern slavery and family, domestic, and sexual violence.
• Proven track record in negotiating and managing government contracts and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience representing organizations within governmental, community, or sector bodies.
• Solid financial, governance, and risk management skills.
• A relevant Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one) is necessary.
• A qualification in Business or equivalent management experience is highly valued.
