This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of US federal, state, and international tax compliance, collaborating with external advisors on filings, provisions, quarterly estimates, and associated requirements.
• Manage indirect taxes, which include sales/use tax, VAT, and digital services tax.
• Supervise tax engine configuration alongside the Billing and Product teams.
• Prepare and review tax provisions and financial statement tax disclosures, encompassing deferred tax accounting.
• Act as the primary liaison for tax authority audits, notices, and information requests across various jurisdictions.
• Oversee transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements.
• Provide counsel on the tax implications of new products, pricing strategies, contracts, and international expansion.
• Identify and pursue tax credits and incentives, including R&D tax credits.
• Keep track of global tax legislation and regulatory changes, offering practical business guidance.
• Manage banking relationships and be the main point of contact for banking partners.
• Oversee global cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity in coordination with FP&A.
• Develop and uphold treasury policies and procedures, including investment guidelines and foreign exchange risk management.
• Ensure compliance with banking requirements, access controls, and signatory documentation.
• Collaborate with Deal Desk and Legal on contract structuring and tax-related risks or opportunities.
• Establish scalable processes, documentation, controls, and infrastructure.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for inquiries related to tax and treasury.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in tax and/or treasury.
• Ideally, experience across both tax and treasury functions within a SaaS, software, or technology organization.
• Solid working knowledge of US federal, state, and international tax compliance.
• Experience with indirect taxes, including sales/use tax and VAT.
• Proficient in cash forecasting, managing banking relationships, liquidity management, and FX risk management.
• Proven experience in developing policies and processes from the ground up.
• Excellent cross-functional communication abilities.
• Capacity to translate complex tax and treasury concepts for non-financial stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification and/or Big 4 experience is advantageous.
• Bonus: experience in supporting software licensing or subscription revenue models.
• Bonus: experience with transfer pricing, R&D tax credit claims, or IP structuring.
• Bonus: familiarity with tax automation tools and modern ERP and billing systems.
