Senior Manager, Sustainability Program

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Lead strategy and programs: Oversee the development and implementation of the GBTA Foundation’s sustainability strategy while delivering impactful global initiatives, comprehensive research, and industry frameworks.

• Innovate and generate insights: Recognize emerging needs and formulate new programs, partnerships, and thought leadership to expedite industry advancement.

• Develop practical solutions: Design tools, resources, and clear guidance to assist organizations in measuring, managing, and lowering emissions.

• Engage and align stakeholders: Cultivate strong relationships among members, partners, and industry groups; encourage collaboration on shared objectives, standards, and advocacy priorities.

• Represent and activate impact: Act as a key external spokesperson, support policy and positioning efforts, and lead educational initiatives, events, and reporting to enhance engagement and achieve measurable outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• 7–10 years of pertinent professional experience in sustainability, consulting, research, policy, or industry/nonprofit roles.

• Experience collaborating across multi-stakeholder, global environments—preferably within travel or related sectors.

• Demonstrated ability to design and implement complex initiatives from inception to execution.

• Strong comprehension of climate-related topics (e.g., Scope 3, decarbonization) and the capability to translate technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.

• Excellent stakeholder management, engagement with senior-level individuals, and strong written and oral communication skills, combined with effective project management and a proactive, collaborative approach.
