This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +26 more states.
• Lead significant strategic projects and partnerships across marketing, retail, and operations teams.
• Influence executive decisions by providing insight on the evolving role of Amazon Advertising within broader business and omnichannel strategies.
• Develop sophisticated omni-channel advertising strategies specifically designed for large, complex, high-growth businesses.
• Utilize a deep understanding of marketplace dynamics, consumer behavior, and brand objectives to create customized, multi-layered media plans that extend beyond tactical execution.
• Drive comprehensive advertising and growth strategies for a portfolio of brands/businesses on Amazon and channel retailers, ensuring alignment with overall business/client objectives while leveraging market trends, competitive intelligence, and internal data for long-term planning and decision-making.
• Possess a thorough understanding of the complete suite of Amazon and retail media ad products, with the capability to design and assess a full-funnel, multi-channel, multi-objective marketing plan aimed at driving traffic, boosting sales, and enhancing ROI.
• Oversee the creation, execution, and optimization of Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brand Video, and Sponsored Display campaigns.
• Monitor performance and manage budgets to optimize efficiency and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Manage and mentor a team of advertising managers or specialists, supporting their development in both tactical execution and strategic thinking.
• Provide expertise in crafting client-specific strategies, navigating complexities, and elevating campaign planning to enhance business impact.
• Responsible for translating leadership objectives within their pod organizations, direct reports, and clients.
• Promote a culture of performance, innovation, and collaboration.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for internal or external clients, delivering advertising strategy, performance insights, recommendations, and growth opportunities.
• Actively contribute and provide thought leadership in generating initiatives that impact the overall sponsored ads team and sponsored ads at GO as a whole.
• Collaborate closely with sales, retail, content, and data teams to ensure integrated strategies.
• Analyze data trends and deliver actionable insights.
• Develop and distribute regular performance reports to stakeholders.
• Continuously enhance campaign management processes, promote adoption and innovation in automation and reporting tools, and assess new advertising solutions.
• Demonstrate the ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
• Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.
• 8+ years of experience with Amazon or other retail media channels.
• Proven leadership experience with 4+ years in building and managing teams of managers.
• Required experience with Amazon Sponsored Ads.
• Experience with Amazon Advertising and other retail media channels.
• Proficiency in Excel at an intermediate level to effectively manipulate large datasets for analysis.
• Preferred experience with: Tableau, Skai, Jungle Scout/Cobalt, Criteo/Citrus Ads, and Retailer ad console platforms.
• This position may require up to 15% travel.
• Preferred Skills: Experience with Amazon DSP.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and incrementality measurement.
• Background in retail media or agency experience supporting Amazon brands.
