This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of adjusters managing the organization’s most substantial and intricate claims.
• Provide daily oversight of operations to ensure efficient claims processing that aligns with corporate business objectives.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate resource requirements and implement ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance quality, service, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor team performance through file assessments, data analysis, and customer feedback.
• Offer coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for professionals within the claims organization.
• Make staffing recommendations, engage in hiring and disciplinary actions, and oversee salary administration connected to performance.
• Act as a subject matter expert in specialized claims areas.
• Manage complex litigation strategies, direct external counsel, and oversee litigation-related expenses.
• Cultivate strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and present reports on business trends, financial performance, and claim results.
• Communicate key issues and strategic insights to the appropriate audiences, adjusting style to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred along with related claims experience.
• JD or equivalent experience highly desired.
• Proficient in using claims management systems and data analysis tools for documentation, reporting, and process enhancement.
• Experienced in managing litigation with external counsel and executing negotiation strategies for high-stakes claims.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and develop individuals and teams to promote long-term career growth and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Highly organized with the capacity to manage complex projects, workflows, and organizational strategies.
• Capable of making sound decisions in high-impact or ambiguous situations while balancing competing demands and ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
• Experience in managing significant legal or reputational risks and overseeing strategic decision-making across a business.
• Must hold the appropriate state adjuster license(s) and maintain continuing education credits.
