Senior Manager, Special Events

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Secure funding for Autism Speaks by recruiting and overseeing volunteers.

• Promote awareness by seeking corporate sponsorship and executing fundraising and mission events to meet revenue targets.

• Attain the revenue objectives for designated fundraising events within the Area.

• Collaborate with the supervisor to set up and execute planning timelines, income objectives, expense budgets, and participant recruitment strategies.

• Implement events in collaboration with volunteer leadership.

• Oversee the daily operations of assigned Area events, including logistics, data entry, acknowledgments, and materials management.

• Deliver presentations to businesses, organizations, and community groups to secure sponsorships, recruit teams, and enlist committee volunteers.

• Incorporate digital marketing strategies, such as email campaigns and fundraising websites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of professional work experience.

• More than 5 years of proven leadership with an emphasis on peer-to-peer fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and management.

• Skills in relationship-building, networking, budget management, and mobilization of volunteers.

• A successful history of multi-functional fundraising experience, including special events, various walk events, and corporate campaigns.

• Capability to work independently to recreate and implement fundraising and volunteer development strategies.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strong presentation abilities.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• Strong analytical abilities.

• Good judgment.

• Proficiency in MS Office 365.

• Familiarity with databases (Raiser’s Edge and/or Luminate preferred).
