This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in establishing and implementing a multi-year procurement and category strategy for essential equipment (modules, transformers, inverters, racking, and other significant items).
• Develop and sustain long-term strategic relationships with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, high quality, and reliable supply.
• Lead the selection of suppliers, negotiations, and contract execution to achieve the best commercial conditions.
• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and assess supplier performance metrics/scorecards to enhance accountability and continuous improvement.
• Structure and negotiate Master Supply Agreements (MSAs) and long-term, portfolio-scale procurement frameworks.
• Support domestic content strategy in collaboration with project finance/tax and legal teams to facilitate investment tax credits and maintain compliance certifications.
• Oversee the equipment budget and set savings targets.
• Develop, refine, and govern procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, transparency, and communication.
• Act as the senior owner of trade compliance for equipment sourcing.
• Manage commodity risks (steel, copper, aluminum, etc.), providing advice on forward cost curves and budgetary impacts.
• Ensure supply continuity through prequalification, monitoring supplier financial health, allocation management, and contingency planning.
• Guarantee effective scheduling, tracking, and delivery of owner furnished equipment to align with construction timelines, including inventory management, warehousing, staging, and laydown coordination.
• Coordinate quality and factory acceptance testing (FAT)/source inspection and resolve non-conformances with Engineering.
• Integrate procurement schedules and specifications into RFPs and EPC subcontracts in collaboration with delivery teams.
• Mentor and develop the supply chain team while establishing processes and governance to scale the function.
• Enhance the team's commercial and negotiation capabilities in line with procurement best practices.
• Serve as a strategic liaison between procurement and cross-functional teams to promote operational excellence, alignment, and efficiency.
• 6-8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain, with a proven ability to lead people (managing a team and/or developing other managers) and oversee portfolio or program-scale initiatives.
• Background in renewables, power, construction, infrastructure, or a related field; experience in utility-scale solar or renewables is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in negotiating complex commercial transactions and long-term/master agreements, focusing on cost control, risk management, and supplier performance.
• Familiarity with EPC contracts and logistics coordination for significant equipment.
• In-depth knowledge of trade compliance relevant to solar: UFLPA/traceability, customs, and domestic content strategy for the ITC.
• Strong financial skills related to pricing trends, commodity fluctuations, TCO/should-cost, budget management, and supply chain risk.
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication abilities, capable of engaging and influencing both internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, finance, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Preferred qualifications include an MBA, ISM CPSM, or APICS/ASCM CPIM/CSCP.
