This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Create and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for all accounts in Japan, with a focus on local accounts.
• Oversee all procurement activities in line with contract stipulations, particularly regarding specific savings targets outlined in the Statement of Work (SoW).
• Ensure procurement processes are fair, open, and transparent, demonstrating optimal value.
• Manage the complete lifecycle of subcontractors, from selection to offboarding, within the JLL system.
• Implement procurement strategies aimed at identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead competitive tendering processes in alignment with contract requirements.
• Maintain a detailed vendor database, ensuring all suppliers comply with security clearance requirements as per client contracts.
• Conduct evaluations of vendor performance and initiate continuous improvement programs.
• Direct S&P activities during transition and vendor onboarding phases.
• Ensure all procurement actions adhere to contract terms, client policies, and relevant regulations.
• Collaborate with the account team on all matters related to procurement.
• Assist the account team with supplier coordination efforts.
• Communicate with the account team (or client) regarding procurement approvals and supplier selections.
• Maintain all information, data, and documentation related to supplier and subcontractor management as dictated by contract requirements.
• Prepare procurement-related reports for monthly operations meetings and quarterly reviews when necessary.
• Support audit requirements by providing comprehensive procurement documentation.
• A minimum of 5 years of industry experience is required, either in a corporate setting or as a third-party service provider.
• Proven experience in managing complex multi-vendor environments.
• Extensive knowledge of sourcing strategies, competitive tendering, and contract negotiation.
• Proficiency in English at a business level is recommended but not mandatory.
• Capability to prepare procurement documentation in both Japanese and English.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting stringent deadlines and performance targets.
• Flexible and adaptable to evolving priorities and requirements.
• Must be able to acquire and maintain the security clearance level necessary as per the contract.
• A good team player.
• Effective interpersonal skills are essential.
• This role involves sedentary work with occasional site visits.
• Ability to attend vendor meetings at different locations.
• Exceptional customer service to fulfill on-site client expectations.
