Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture – New Logo

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Recruit, onboard, and nurture a team of Solutions Architects focused on strategic new-logo acquisition.

• Set clear performance expectations, implement coaching rhythms, establish technical standards, and outline career development paths for team members.

• Cultivate a culture of curiosity, technical excellence, customer focus, urgency, and accountability within the team.

• Enhance the team’s ability to engage effectively with software engineers, architects, technical decision-makers, and executives.

• Ensure consistent execution through well-defined processes for qualification, technical discovery, demonstrations, proof-of-value engagements, and deal support.

• Collaborate closely with New Logo Sales leadership and Strategic Account Executives to formulate and implement account-based acquisition strategies.

• Guarantee that the team performs comprehensive, high-quality technical discovery to identify appropriate use cases and advocate for the right solutions for prospects evaluating Temporal for the first time.

• Assist the team in effectively positioning Temporal against competing technologies, internally developed systems, and alternative architectural patterns.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Solutions Architecture, Sales Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or leadership position within a technical pre-sales team.

• Demonstrated experience in supporting enterprise new-logo acquisition and complex technical evaluations.

• Proven track record in open-source, developer-tools, or infrastructure-software companies, with an understanding of the unique dynamics of selling to and collaborating with developer communities.

• Solid technical background with practical experience in distributed systems, microservices, or event-driven architectures.

• Proficient in one or more of Temporal's supported programming languages: Java, Golang, TypeScript, Python, C#, or PHP.

• Experience working with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure) and familiarity with modern development and deployment tools (CI/CD, containers, orchestration).
