Senior Manager, Security Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security operations engineers.

• Take ownership of the implementation, operation, and enhancement of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanners, email security platforms, and other defense mechanisms.

• Supervise incident response for major security events, coordinating efforts for containment, eradication, and recovery.

• Communicate the status and impact of incidents to executive leadership.

• Enhance detection and response programs through metrics, KPIs, processes, and playbooks.

• Ensure the prompt and effective handling of security alerts.

• Utilize agentic AI and deterministic automation to scale team effectiveness and minimize response times.

• Collaborate with engineering and IT to integrate security best practices throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in security operations, including more than 3 years in leadership roles for technical security teams within a highly regulated industry.

• Demonstrated success in building and advancing security operations programs, encompassing incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management.

• Strong technical expertise in secure email gateways, SIEM, EDR, SOAR, CSPM, and vulnerability scanners.

• Proficient understanding of automation using Python, Go, or similar programming languages.

• Experience leading the response to high-severity security incidents and managing communications with executives, legal teams, and other stakeholders.

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, capable of clearly articulating security and risk concepts to both technical audiences and senior business leaders.

• Fundamental knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI, and GDPR frameworks.

• Experience in utilizing artificial intelligence and large language models to enhance security operations.
