Senior Manager – RTX ES Kinaxis Data Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Develop Data Transformation logic within Talend to integrate legacy SAP ECC extracts (currently available and feeding Talend) with the upcoming S4 extracts (being created by the SAP S4 team), and subsequently supply the Kinaxis Maestro instances with a unified set of extracts that merge the two feeds.

• Create outbound closed-loop files from Kinaxis Maestro to SAP. While the SAP S4 team will be responsible for loading the closed-loop files, the Kinaxis Data Transformations role will ensure that the outbound file complies with SAP S4 specifications.

• Provide ongoing maintenance for legacy ECC extracts after “Go-Live” for each S4 site, along with continuous support for S4 extracts maintenance.

• Meet all RTX employee training obligations.

• Achieve RTX CORE Champion certification.

• Aid in PST (SAP S4/SAP IBP) implementation timelines and various related Integration Test Cycles as each site is launched.

• Modify and update the Data Transformations design and construction as ongoing data requirements evolve to support each successive S4 / IBP implementation cycle.

• Oversee and adjust data extract and transformation maintenance to guarantee that system data updates occur to enhance System uptime and availability.

• Prepare project status update reports as needed to support the PST project.

• Foster continuous improvement in data update efficiency.

• Engage in Quarterly Product Increment (PI) Planning events to determine focus activities for the following quarter.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.

• Cloud data engineering certification or equivalent work experience of over 5 years.

• ETL & Data Integrations certification or related work experience exceeding 7 years – preferably with Qlik/Talend.

• General Data Management certification (CDMP) or related work experience of more than 10 years.

• Prior experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse / Kinaxis Maestro in a data integration capacity, possessing knowledge of data integration patterns, ETL/ELT, APIs, and messaging protocols (REST, SOAP, OPC).

• Proficiency in SQL — particularly the ability to navigate unfamiliar database schemas and write extraction queries with minimal or no documentation.

• Hands-on experience working with customer or client IT teams to negotiate and establish data access (firewall rules, VPN connectivity, service accounts, API credentials).

• Proficient in data integration tools and platforms (e.g., Informatica, Talend), with expertise in big data platforms and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) and a basic understanding of DevOps tools and practices.
