This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Ensure the establishment of appropriate financial processes, procedures, and controls to support financial reporting and auditing for Airbnb in relation to platform operations.

• Develop and oversee processes and procedures, including documentation and testing, to monitor and manage accounts and entities associated with the platform.

• Collaborate closely with finance teams to identify, evaluate, and communicate the financial impacts of business changes.

• Enhance visibility for finance leadership regarding platform accounts and initiatives.

• Work with the platform SOX team to ensure that risk identification and control mitigations are suitable—design, implement, document, and review controls to guarantee their effective operation.

• Build relationships with key stakeholders in payments, compliance, legal, and other partner and finance teams to emphasize the importance of engaging with Platform Controlling.

• Lead the Revenue Operations team, ensuring that all processes align with closing deadlines.

• Educate and mentor accounting and finance staff on various topics, including revenue technical accounting, GAAP guidelines, and best practices for documentation, partner engagement, and operational processes.

• Serve as a subject matter expert that partners consult for guidance and insights.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of finance and accounting experience, including management-level experience in a large multinational organization.

• At least 6 years of relevant industry experience (tech, payments, marketplace(s), hospitality) within a high-growth environment.

• CPA or equivalent international certification preferred, with experience at a Big 4 accounting firm being an advantage.

• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP with a proven history of operationalizing technical accounting standards to meet business needs.

• Familiarity with large-scale ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, Workday), monetization, and billing systems; experience in payments compliance and reconciliation systems is an asset.

• Proficient in MS Excel; experience with SQL and Tableau is a plus.
