This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine, +4 more states.
• Drive the technology strategy and transformation of platforms for regulated enterprise systems.
• Assess emerging technologies, AI possibilities, security requirements, and commercial software solutions.
• Evaluate existing solutions against projected business capabilities and propose roadmaps and investments that comply with enterprise architecture standards, GxP, data privacy, security, and IM business needs.
• Oversee end-to-end engineering for the Salesforce-based IM QMS, including architecture, roadmap, lifecycle, integration strategy, APIs, and release governance.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Group Engineering, and BU Architecture to make critical technical decisions.
• Lead hands-on engineering efforts across various teams.
• Offer solution architecture, guidance on Salesforce Flow configuration, controlled Apex development, and conduct formal system, design, and code reviews.
• Create scalable, reusable, and compliant solutions that effectively balance platform features with necessary customizations.
• Partner with Quality teams, Salesforce product groups, vendors, and enterprise platform owners to encourage reuse and minimize redundancy.
• Manage technical backlog priorities, mentor engineers, and tackle cross-product risks, dependencies, and delivery obstacles.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for Quality leadership, ISRM, validation, vendors, and governance groups.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software or Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 15 years in enterprise technology delivery, including over 10 years of experience in implementing and scaling Quality Management Systems.
• At least three years of direct leadership experience with Salesforce-based platforms in regulated settings.
• Required domain expertise: Comprehensive understanding of Quality processes utilized in pharmaceuticals, R&D, or advanced therapies, including Nonconformance, CAPA, Audits, Complaints, User Access Management, Change Control, and Escalation workflows.
• Proven track record in leading Salesforce-based Quality platforms, including configuration using Salesforce Flow and controlled custom development with Apex classes.
• Strong technical skills in Salesforce integration patterns, API development, and enterprise data exchange within Quality ecosystems.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multi-team, multi-vendor delivery models under Agile, regulatory, and SDLC governance, including modernization, acquisitions/divestitures, and lifecycle evolution of enterprise QMS platforms.
• Collaborate with validation and test leads to define a risk-based testing approach, conducting impact assessments for upgrades, patches, and software changes.
• Preferred domain expertise: Knowledge of release management and CI/CD practices, including defining and implementing pull request governance, branching strategies, controlled deployments, Jenkins pipelines, Salesforce CLI, and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Robot) for functional and regression testing.
