Senior Manager, Product & Program Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of three, consisting of a staff data scientist and two analysts, while creating a collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented atmosphere.

• Offer technical guidance and hands-on assistance for high-priority analytics and data science projects, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary tools, context, and skills to excel.

• Actively promote the team’s proficiency in AI and its application by assessing emerging AI tools and techniques, and utilizing Claude Code, Claude Cowork, and related resources to enhance analytical workflows and expand team capacity.

• Oversee and enhance program analytics to support Ignite Reading’s Academics team, delivering thorough measurements of curriculum effectiveness and student success, including evaluations against external benchmarks such as DIBELS, iReady, and STAR, while conducting analyses to guide intervention development and effectiveness assessments.

• Manage and improve product analytics across Ignite Reading’s platform, assessing feature adoption, student engagement, and usage trends to guide product strategy and prioritization.

• Facilitate the development of the company’s experimentation platform, establishing best practices for experimental design, analysis, and interpretation.

• Actively participate with the team on selected analytics projects, addressing urgent ad hoc requests, designing prototypes to speed up builds, and personally managing discrete analyses from start to finish.

• Take charge of sprint management, project execution, and delivery for the Product & Program Analytics team, leading planning sessions and retrospectives to enhance team processes continuously.

• Forge and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Product and Academics stakeholders, translating business and academic inquiries into analytical initiatives and clearly communicating findings to non-technical audiences.

• Collaborate with the VP of Data & Analytics on the team’s strategic roadmap, aligning project priorities with organizational objectives and monitoring progress against timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in analytics and data science within the ed-tech or a similar tech industry, including 2–4+ years as a senior manager in a data analytics or data science role. Significant prior experience as an individual contributor in both fields is essential.

• Proven success in managing and developing analysts and/or data scientists, with a genuine commitment to their professional growth.

• Highly skilled in SQL and Python for analysis, modeling, and data manipulation; experienced with Tableau or similar BI tools; familiarity with DBT and modern cloud data warehouses is a plus.

• Strong quantitative background: expertise in statistical modeling, experimental design, and applying rigorous analytical methods to real business or educational program challenges.

• Substantial hands-on experience in building agentic workflows, Claude Skills, or LLM-based automations (specifically using Claude Code and Claude Cowork) to streamline analytical and ML workflows in practice.

• Demonstrated experience with Agile/sprint methodologies in an analytics setting.

• An exceptional communicator capable of translating complex technical concepts into actionable business insights for diverse audiences.
