This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Oversee the annual product planning and execution of short- to mid-term roadmaps for the designated Light Commercial portfolio, which includes RTUs, Commercial Splits, and Accessories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and priorities.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Brand, and Consumer Insights teams to convert market and customer demands into product specifications, support unique positioning, and assist in executing channel strategies.
• Work alongside the HVAC Technology team to establish business requirements, aid in prioritization and resource discussions for product development programs, and provide product management direction for ongoing NPI initiatives.
• Team up with Sales and Marketing departments to facilitate commercial execution and evaluate market performance for light commercial RTU and Commercial Split products, identifying measures to enhance outcomes.
• Partner closely with manufacturing collaborators to ensure NPI readiness, coordinate launches, align operations, and resolve issues for assigned products.
• Collaborate with Sourcing to aid in sourcing strategies and risk mitigation actions for components and sourced products related to daily operations and NPI execution.
• Create business cases and propose investment priorities for assigned RTU and Commercial Split projects as contributions to LTP, SII, and Operating Plan processes.
• Collaborate with Quality, Technology, Sourcing, and manufacturing teams to drive cost-reduction initiatives, enhance quality, and resolve product and installation challenges, integrating learnings into future product revisions and launch strategies.
• Partner with Design and Technology teams to facilitate regulatory and agency compliance planning, pinpoint opportunities for incremental innovation, and execute continuous improvement projects in conjunction with the Platform team.
• Lead regular cross-functional product review meetings for assigned RTU and Commercial Split programs to synchronize priorities, monitor actions, and escalate risks or concerns as necessary.
• Engage in weekly Production, Scheduling, and Inventory (PSI) meetings to assess inventory performance, assist in clearance actions, and help sustain target inventory levels in collaboration with manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales.
• Coordinate with the Parts team to ensure parts availability, enhance customer satisfaction, and meet financial performance goals for assigned products.
• Collect and evaluate voice-of-customer feedback to aid in launch planning, product updates, and SKU assortment decisions.
• Develop training content requirements for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide product training as required for internal and external stakeholders, including external applications engineering contract firms.
• BA/BS degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 7 years of experience in Product Management, Manufacturing, Technology, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience working collaboratively across commercial, technical, and operational teams.
• Experience in supporting product launches, portfolio planning, business case development, and executing product initiatives.
• MBA is preferred.
• Six Sigma and/or Lean certification.
• Experience in the HVAC sector.
• Background in cross-functional leadership, especially in commercial roles, within Appliances or a technical AC products business, or experience with GE Appliances’ products.
