Senior Manager, People Business Partner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a strategic consultant to business leadership while collaborating across the team to implement the people strategy.

• Assist leaders and employees in developing high-performing teams and nurturing a culture that promotes client delivery excellence, employee success, and Make-A-Wish’s mission.

• Report to the Director of People Business Partners and engage in strategic HR initiatives.

• Advocate for a high-performing, inclusive culture that aligns with organizational values and strategy.

• Ensure consistency between performance management, recognition, and career development.

• Support organizational transformations and changes within the business.

• Collaborate with business leaders on workforce strategies and utilize people metrics for proactive workforce planning.

• Provide guidance to leaders on organizational design for strategic alignment and scalable growth.

• Work alongside talent acquisition on recruitment strategies.

• Partner with total rewards on compensation planning, career development, and employee recognition.

• Address employee relations matters with a balanced, business-focused, employee-centered approach.

• Coach leaders on performance management, employee development, and talent management.

• Offer guidance on employee issues, leave of absence management, policy interpretation, and workplace concerns.

• Execute Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies that align with team and organizational objectives.

• Stay informed of and incorporate federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations into policies and practices.

• Champion business initiatives and workgroups to advance the people strategy.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of human resource experience is required.

• At least 5 years of experience as an HR business partner is required.

• Experience in employee relations and coaching capabilities.

• Strong influencing skills with key stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution abilities.

• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience with change management.

• Capable of policy interpretation and data-driven decision-making.

• Excellent time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.

• Ability to operate with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

• Comprehensive knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant software.

• Understanding of AI and capability to leverage technology tools.

• Proficiency in HRIS and talent management systems.

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; Make-A-Wish does not sponsor employment visas or immigration processes.

• Ability to excel in a remote work environment.

• May require work outside of standard Monday–Friday work hours.

• Up to 10% travel may be necessary.

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
