• Oversee the evaluation and selection of local organizations to act as Outpost partners.
• Collaborate with the Outposts to facilitate the implementation and management of effective business strategies and plans, ensuring they align with BSF’s short- and long-term goals.
• Work alongside Outposts and BSF Programs and Digital teams to identify programs, services, and events to be executed at Outpost locations.
• Provide training and onboarding for Outposts.
• Partner with the BSF Research and Evaluation team to deliver national research initiatives and guarantee that program evaluation practices are upheld by outpost partners.
• Work with the Strategic Alliances and Government Relations teams to ensure community leaders, elected officials, senior military personnel, and other essential stakeholders are informed about and engaged with BSF Outposts, resources, and programming.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to communicate KPIs that assist in assessing and monitoring Outpost performance, impact, and progress.
• Aid in the preparation and oversight of budgets, contracts, and MOUs.
• Assist Chapter Executive Directors with the management and supervision of Outposts within their regions.
• Manage marketing, public relations, and social media strategies and materials for Outposts.
• Facilitate expansion into new markets, which includes outreach, partner development, and launch planning.
• Implement annual Outpost goals and strategic initiatives, fostering cross-functional alignment across BSF departments to ensure successful outcomes.
• Contribute to fundraising endeavors by supporting proposals, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement to sustain and enhance the Outposts program.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 4-7 years of progressively responsible experience in program management and community outreach positions.
• Experience in budget monitoring and contract review.
• Self-driven with the ability to adapt swiftly to changing organizational needs.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
• Cultural competence in the military and veteran sectors.
• Willingness to travel out of town overnight multiple times per year for staff offsites, planning retreats, and company-wide events.
