This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
• Lead, implement, and carry out the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) methodologies and tools throughout the designated Global Quality organization.
• Assess organizational requirements to meet key performance metrics.
• Formulate and implement strategies that yield annual enhancements in performance, process excellence, and programmatic savings.
• Collaborate with functional teams to eradicate waste, enhance process efficiency, and spearhead process and value stream transformation across prioritized workflows.
• Cultivate process-oriented thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a Value Stream mindset through Lean Six Sigma instruction, coaching, and mentorship.
• Organize and lead strategic kaizen events involving both functional and cross-functional teams.
• Plan and carry out process improvement initiatives that support the Global Quality organization.
• Educate and develop employees to promote a sustainable culture of continuous improvement.
• Expect to travel approximately 50–75% to encourage collaboration and ensure effective project implementation.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years of pertinent experience in manufacturing, Business Operations, and/or operational excellence frameworks, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification is preferred.
• Familiarity with a Zero Loss methodology or operational model.
• Proven success in applying operational excellence principles within transactional settings.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve measurable process enhancements, operational efficiencies, and cost reductions.
• Strong capabilities in change management.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring, and developing teams.
• Capacity to influence and instigate organizational change without direct authority.
• Readiness and ability to travel 50–75%.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in facilitating training programs both in-person and virtually.
• Strong project management abilities, encompassing time management, stakeholder and client relationship management, conflict resolution, training facilitation, and administrative oversight.
• Solid comprehension of engineering, project management, and financial principles.
• Demonstrated experience in integrating continuous improvement methodologies to achieve business outcomes.
• For degrees obtained outside of the United States, a degree that meets the criteria of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is mandatory.
