This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Lead the engineering, operations, and ongoing development of the enterprise Observability Data Platform.
• Take ownership of platform reliability, scalability, availability, performance, and operational health.
• Manage telemetry ingestion, observability data services, and platform capabilities that facilitate enterprise monitoring and analytics.
• Define and implement the platform strategy and roadmap in collaboration with Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Promote automation, operational efficiency, performance enhancement, capacity planning, and continuous service improvement.
• Establish engineering standards, governance protocols, security measures, compliance, and lifecycle management.
• Advocate for platform adoption, engage stakeholders, and empower users throughout the enterprise.
• Guide, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
• Manage strategic vendor relationships and technology partnerships.
• Facilitate operational visibility, service reliability, engineering productivity, and data-driven decision-making throughout the enterprise.
• Over 7 years of experience in supporting enterprise-scale data, platform, infrastructure, observability, or cloud engineering environments.
• Proven experience with large-scale data ingestion and distributed platforms.
• More than 5 years of leadership experience in building high-performing teams and delivering complex, cross-functional technical projects.
• At least 5 years of experience managing large-scale cloud and/or hybrid platforms with accountability for reliability, monitoring, incident management, and operational excellence.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience leading intricate, enterprise-wide engineering initiatives across various stakeholder groups, business functions, and technology teams.
• Proficient in enterprise observability platforms, such as Splunk, Cribl, and OpenTelemetry (OTel).
• Background in cloud-native data platforms and architectures, including Databricks, Azure, and distributed telemetry ecosystems.
• Familiarity with Security Operations, SIEM platforms, and enterprise-scale observability, logging, and telemetry environments.
• Understanding of streaming and messaging technologies, including Kafka and cloud-native services.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, CI/CD practices, and contemporary platform engineering principles.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma coupled with 4 years of relevant experience.
