Senior Manager, Market Access – Structural Heart

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Design and strategize market access initiatives and projects, including submissions to CNEDiMTS and CEESP, with responsibility for the effective completion of all project outcomes.

• Take the lead and collaborate with Business Units on market access projects, which involves creating new therapeutic/device charge codes, ensuring fair value acknowledgment, and securing necessary reimbursement approvals to facilitate and enhance access to Structural Heart Disease (SHD) solutions, ultimately simplifying hospital decision-making.

• Select and oversee consultants when additional expertise is needed.

• Identify and develop local market access opportunities within Strategic Accounts in partnership with the Business Unit team.

• Provide leadership and guidance to external project teams implementing tactical market access initiatives and projects.

• Engage in internal product launch teams.

• Recognize and assess opportunities for enhancing market access processes, making necessary adjustments, and achieving alignment.

• Actively participate in industry working groups (notably SNITEM) to advocate for Edwards' interests and influence policy development and execution when appropriate.

• Establish and nurture strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare authorities.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• A scientific background is essential (e.g., PharmD, MD, Engineering).

• Further education in Health Economics, Business, Political Science, or Communications is preferred.

• 8–10 years of substantial experience in Market Access roles within the French healthcare landscape.

• Significant experience in multinational pharmaceutical or medical device companies, or consulting for such organizations, is required.

• A keen interest in or knowledge of clinical trial methodologies is expected.

• Proven expertise in pricing and reimbursement processes is highly desirable.

• A native or near-native command of French, including outstanding written communication skills, is required.

• Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) is mandatory.

• Remote work is possible; occasional travel (less than 15% annually) is required.

• A self-motivated, results-driven problem solver with strong leadership and ownership skills.

• Demonstrated project management capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.

• Strong communication and influencing abilities; capable of operating within a matrix organization and engaging with authorities and officials.

• Ability to forge strong relationships internally (with BU partners, PA teams, Country Leadership Team, etc.) and externally with KOLs (clinicians, health economists, etc.) and healthcare authorities.

• In-depth understanding of pricing and reimbursement processes.

• Comprehensive knowledge of the local healthcare system and political landscape.

• Detail-oriented.

• Capacity to deliver impactful communications through a balanced analytical and creative approach to complex technical subjects.

• Ability to engage professionally at all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to relevant management.

• Capability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Ability to provide consultative support during project execution within the Market Access team.

• Comply with all company policies and regulations (e.g., HCP policy compliance, data privacy regulations, pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety regulations) and implement appropriate measures to prevent injuries and protect the environment within their scope of influence/control.
