This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver tactical and long-term strategic leadership for learning, development, and performance enablement within laboratory operations.
• Design and implement L&D strategies that align with the organization's goals and business objectives.
• Evaluate developmental needs, identify competency gaps, and monitor the effectiveness of programs.
• Collaborate with HR on employee development, job architecture, career advancement, and succession planning.
• Oversee and report on the L&D budget, including forecasting, vendor expenditures, and resource allocation.
• Define, monitor, and report L&D metrics and KPIs to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Create and deliver leadership development programs for new, mid-level, and senior leaders.
• Facilitate DiSC and/or Clifton Strengths programs and promote practical application.
• Develop onboarding programs for all employees, including newly promoted or externally hired leaders.
• Establish mentorship, shadowing, job rotation, internship, and talent pipeline initiatives.
• Design and provide training on soft skills, leadership, and cross-functional business topics through various formats, including instructor-led, blended, and e-learning.
• Maintain a centralized knowledge base for Lab Operations.
• Refine training curricula based on participant feedback, quality data, and evaluations.
• Manage external training vendors and partnerships with subject matter experts.
• Coordinate training logistics, events, materials, and administrative systems.
• Oversee the Lab Operations Learning Management System and maintain training records.
• Facilitate cross-functional training and offer internal consulting on training and development.
• Build and manage a network of internal subject matter experts.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field is required.
• 4-6 years of experience in training design, curriculum development, and delivery in a high-volume organization is required.
• A minimum of 2 years in a biotech, pharmaceutical, or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
• Experience in facilitating leadership development frameworks (DiSC, Clifton Strengths, coaching models) is required.
• Experience managing or administering a Learning Management System (LMS) in a regulated environment is required.
• Experience in developing and executing L&D programs amid organizational growth and significant operational changes is preferred.
• Ability to convert complex scientific and technical information into accessible and engaging learning experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
• Strong data literacy, including the ability to create L&D dashboards, interpret training metrics, and present ROI analyses.
• Experience with competency framework design and behavioral anchoring.
• Occasional laboratory access necessitates adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time is required.
• May require occasional availability on evenings or weekends.
