Instructional Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +45 more states.

📋 Description

• Create, design, and implement educational solutions and curriculum resources for instructor-led, self-paced, mobile, video, and audio training.

• Develop high-quality learning content using established instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, ARCS, and Bloom’s taxonomy.

• Conduct needs and job analysis, effectively communicating development requirements at all organizational levels.

• Collect, compile, and evaluate data to identify effective learning strategies for various work groups.

• Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, business sponsors, and learners to achieve educational goals.

• Convey complex information using instructionally effective techniques.

• Evaluate and measure training effectiveness, offering recommendations for improvements.

• Monitor employee performance and assess training results.

• Suggest appropriate training methods.

• Engage in system administration and course upkeep, including activities related to the Learning Management System (LMS).

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-7 years of experience in designing training for adult learners within a professional setting (commercial or corporate).

• Skills in training project management, emphasizing needs analysis, project scope, time estimation, and execution.

• Proven critical thinking abilities to review and analyze data effectively.

• Proficient in graphic, user interface, and interactive design.

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Premiere, InDesign, and After Effects.

• Familiarity with Articulate 360, including Storyline 360, Rise, Studio 360, and Replay.

• Knowledge of Snagit 2018 or later.

• Experience with Camtasia 2018 or later.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

• Familiarity with online graphic design tools such as Venngage and Canva.

• Understanding of HTML, ActionScript, or application/game design.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Self-motivated and proactive.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks and respond promptly to urgent issues.

• Information Mapping/DocuTools Certification is preferred.
