Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering

📋 Description

• Oversee the strategic planning and implementation of infrastructure solutions that align with business and technology goals.

• Collaborate with business, architecture, engineering, and security teams to convert requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

• Evaluate and critically assess infrastructure designs for resilience, scalability, security, operational readiness, and compliance with enterprise standards.

• Manage demand, capacity, risks, and conflicting priorities across various initiatives.

• Recognize technical, operational, and delivery risks, and facilitate resolution through effective decision-making and stakeholder engagement.

• Develop and expand high-performing infrastructure teams through mentorship, talent cultivation, succession planning, and leadership within the organization.

• Create repeatable delivery, operational, and governance processes that enhance quality, predictability, and efficiency.

• Promote accountability, technical excellence, continuous improvement, and a focus on customer satisfaction.

• Articulate technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Lead efforts in standardization, automation, and process enhancement to improve service reliability and minimize operational risks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience leading infrastructure engineering, platform services, architecture, or technology delivery teams.

• Extensive experience with hybrid infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Azure and on-premises technologies.

• Proficient knowledge of Azure services such as networking, identity, compute, storage, security, monitoring, and governance.

• Strong grasp of networking principles including routing, switching, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, WAN connectivity, and network security fundamentals.

• Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure architecture, compute, storage, databases, security, and operational support models.

• Demonstrated capability to link technology investments and delivery priorities to quantifiable business outcomes.

• Experience in leading cross-functional teams through intricate technical projects and organizational transformations.

• Proven track record in building and scaling technical teams, nurturing leaders, and cultivating a robust engineering culture.

• Experience in creating repeatable processes, governance frameworks, and operational practices that enhance organizational efficiency.

• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities.

• Familiarity with Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.

• Aptitude to perform effectively in dynamic, high-visibility environments.

• Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certifications are preferred.

• Experience in cloud modernization, infrastructure transformation, platform engineering, or large-scale technology projects is preferred.

• Background in managing teams responsible for enterprise infrastructure or shared technology services is preferred.

• Knowledge of automation, observability, enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and operational resilience practices is preferred.
