Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and oversee both cloud and on-premises infrastructure utilizing Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Pulumi.

• Build and manage Kubernetes clusters, including creating Helm charts for intricate applications and services.

• Automate the provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.

• Work alongside cross-functional teams to establish requirements and implement industry best practices.

• Maintain secure and resilient environments in accordance with DoD and Zero Trust principles.

• Diagnose and resolve infrastructure and deployment challenges across various environments.

• Collaborate with the platform engineering team to enhance Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Assist in the development and deployment of a next-generation modeling and simulation framework for the Department of Defense.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, or a related discipline.

• US citizenship with the capability to secure a Top-Secret/SCI clearance.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• Significant experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Podman, CRI-O, or equivalent).

• Proficiency in scripting for automation and operational functions (Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar).

• Extensive hands-on experience in administering and securing Kubernetes environments.

• Demonstrated experience in securing and maintaining Helm charts.

• Skilled in using Git and Git-based workflows.

• Solid background in Linux/SELinux system administration.

• Familiarity with system context and security context configurations.

• Understanding of container sockets and the associated security implications.

• Knowledge of DoD security practices and hardened Linux distributions.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers.
