Senior Manager, Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the planning and implementation of infrastructure solutions that align with business and technology goals.

• Collaborate with business units, architecture, engineering, and security teams to convert requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.

• Evaluate and challenge infrastructure designs to ensure resiliency, scalability, security, operational readiness, and compliance with enterprise standards.

• Manage demand, capacity, risks, and competing priorities across various initiatives.

• Identify technical, operational, and delivery risks, and facilitate resolution through effective decision-making and alignment with stakeholders.

• Build and nurture high-performing infrastructure teams through mentorship, talent development, succession planning, and leadership.

• Develop repeatable delivery, operational, and governance processes to enhance quality, predictability, and efficiency.

• Promote accountability, technical excellence, continuous improvement, and a customer-centric approach.

• Clearly communicate technical concepts, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to both technical and business stakeholders.

• Propel standardization, automation, and process enhancement to increase service reliability and minimize operational risk.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in leading infrastructure engineering, platform services, architecture, or technology delivery teams.

• Extensive experience in supporting hybrid infrastructure environments, including Microsoft Azure and on-premises technologies.

• Proficient understanding of Azure services, including networking, identity, compute, storage, security, monitoring, and governance.

• Strong grasp of networking concepts, including routing, switching, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, WAN connectivity, and network security principles.

• Comprehensive understanding of infrastructure architecture, compute, storage, databases, security, and operational support models.

• Proven capability to align technology investments and delivery priorities with measurable business results.

• Experience in leading cross-functional teams through intricate technical projects and organizational change.

• Demonstrated success in building and scaling technical teams, developing leaders, and cultivating a robust engineering culture.

• Experience in establishing repeatable processes, governance structures, and operational practices that enhance organizational effectiveness.

• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing abilities.

• Familiarity with Agile and traditional delivery methodologies.

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-visibility environments.

• Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent cloud certifications are preferred.

• Experience in leading cloud modernization, infrastructure transformation, platform engineering, or large-scale technology projects is preferred.

• Experience in managing teams responsible for enterprise infrastructure or shared technology services is preferred.

• Knowledge of automation, observability, enterprise architecture, security, compliance, and operational resilience practices is preferred.
