This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design the AWS Infrastructure-as-Code strategy utilizing Terraform and CloudFormation to establish and configure RHEL 8 servers in both production and non-production environments.
• Create the AWS account architecture, EC2 provisioning, VPC setup, and network connectivity for the migration from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8.
• Develop secure and repeatable integration patterns for over 30 internal and external partner connections within a FedRAMP-authorized GovCloud setting.
• Take ownership of the CI/CD automation architecture using tools such as Jenkins and GitHub.
• Establish reusable Terraform and CloudFormation templates along with Infrastructure-as-Code standards.
• Define the sequencing for environment-tier build-outs and the migration validation process.
• Offer technical guidance and design review for DevOps and Systems Engineers.
• Assist in the architecture for RDS instance configuration, Jenkins job migration, and DNS cutover efforts.
• Integrate vulnerability assessments and cloud security posture scanning into the infrastructure design.
• Engage in technical discovery and design discussions with application, infrastructure, security, and cloud stakeholders.
• Ensure that designs adhere to technical reference models, ATO/POA&M standards, and DevSecOps best practices.
• Assess POA&Ms that have been addressed or closed as part of the migration.
• Support performance testing, monitoring, and remediation via infrastructure-level analysis.
• Document architectural decisions, designs, and runbooks in Confluence and Jira.
• Collaborate with the Solutioning Architect and Operations Manager for infrastructure delivery.
• Foster effective working relationships with federal clients, delivery teams, and technical stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Associate’s Degree accompanied by 7 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.
• High School Diploma with 9 years of experience as a substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proven experience in architecting AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code, with practical expertise in Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience in designing and automating CI/CD pipelines that facilitate changes through to production (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub/GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with architecting AWS account structures, VPCs, instance provisioning, and network connectivity.
• Experience in designing secure integration and interface patterns within a FedRAMP-authorized (GovCloud) environment.
• Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) server infrastructure, including OS version upgrades.
• Experience in incorporating vulnerability and cloud security posture management scanning (e.g., Nessus, Turbot) into infrastructure design and architecture.
• Support for DevSecOps practices and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Ability to convert infrastructure and migration requirements into architecture-level solution designs and documentation.
• Strong analytical capabilities and technical leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of leading technical discussions among cross-functional and federal stakeholder teams.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Must be eligible to acquire a Public Trust clearance.
• Full-Time, W2 employment.
• 100% remote work (US-based).
• 40 hours/week with availability during core business hours of 8am–5pm ET.
