This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement comprehensive, impactful scientific communication and customer engagement strategies for Obesity & Related Conditions.
• Lead the development and oversee the execution of global and US scientific communication and healthcare professional engagement plans.
• Adjust strategies in response to changes in the disease landscape, new data, innovative channels, and insights from cross-functional teams.
• Establish, apply, and monitor metrics to evaluate content and channel effectiveness.
• Collaborate with Amgen India to transform scientific communication and healthcare professional engagement plans into global and US content.
• Create strategic content briefs that align with scientific narratives, product communication, and healthcare professional engagement strategies.
• Conduct strategic reviews and manage the dissemination of scientific and medical materials, including digital/interactive content, FAQs, MSL resources, payer-related documents, and compendia updates.
• Contribute to scientific programming at educational events and congresses, including booth and symposium content.
• Facilitate process improvements, standardization, systems enhancements, and digital innovations.
• Define and monitor KPIs that measure impact and efficiency.
• Assist in training the Amgen Scientific Communications team in India and across various regions.
• Foster collaboration between Amgen India Scientific Communications and cross-functional partners and affiliates.
• Oversee external vendors and agencies to ensure compliance and quality standards.
• Aid in transitioning vendor activities to Amgen India as necessary.
• Provide mentorship as required.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs OR Master’s degree with 6 years of experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience OR Associate’s degree with 10 years of experience OR High school diploma/GED with 12 years of experience in Medical/Scientific Affairs.
• Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, DO) with over 4 years in Medical/Scientific Affairs, Clinical Development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in strategic content planning, content creation, and vendor management within the biopharmaceutical industry, and/or clinical or research within the therapeutic area.
• Knowledge of regulatory and legal frameworks governing scientific communications and the promotion of prescription products.
• Exceptional analytical and communication abilities.
• Experience with multi-channel scientific platforms and digital engagement capabilities, either in a pharmaceutical company or a digital agency primarily serving pharmaceutical clients.
• Proficiency in Artificial Intelligence and digital fluency.
• Willingness to travel (approximately 10–20%).
