• Oversee the strategy, governance, development, and lifecycle management of Amgen’s Global Corporate Compliance Policies.
• Ensure coherence and consistency between global and U.S. compliance policies.
• Act as the primary link between policy content and enterprise compliance training.
• Promote simplification, modernization, and effective governance of policy content.
• Establish and uphold a scalable framework for policy governance.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure policies align with evolving regulatory requirements.
• Utilize technology solutions to improve the efficiency of policy drafting and review processes.
• Keep abreast of regulatory developments and industry benchmarks.
• Assist with internal audits and regulatory inquiries concerning policy documentation and training alignment.
• Encourage the adoption of advanced capabilities, including AI-enabled search and workflow automation.
• Monitor and report on policy lifecycle metrics.
• Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership regarding policy risk areas and content priorities.
• Mentor and support team members involved in policy and training activities.
• Doctorate degree with 2 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience OR Master’s degree with 4 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 6 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience OR Associate degree with 10 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience OR High school diploma/GED with 12 years of compliance, legal, or policy experience.
• Extensive experience in drafting and managing corporate compliance policies within a regulated industry.
• Solid understanding of U.S. healthcare compliance requirements, federal and state enforcement trends, and pharmaceutical/biotech regulatory frameworks.
• Experience in aligning policy content with training programs and learning strategies.
• Proven ability to distill complex regulatory concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
• Experience working within document management systems and governance workflows.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to handle multiple high-impact initiatives concurrently.
• Executive presence and capacity to influence across Legal, Compliance, and business leadership.
• High level of attention to detail combined with strategic thinking.
