This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, implement, and oversee Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and off-page search initiatives.
• Establish programmatic GEO authority across academic and professional sectors.
• Ensure that institutional entities and brand authority are acknowledged in LLM knowledge bases and Knowledge Graphs.
• Manage multi-tiered publisher engagement and outreach strategies.
• Identify target websites and direct high-profile media opportunities to internal or client PR/communications teams.
• Conduct direct outreach to publications and educational portals.
• Evaluate sentiment across third-party websites, educational portals, and industry platforms.
• Identify and rectify inaccurate, outdated, or negative brand information through targeted outreach to publishers.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on AI visibility, sentiment, citation share, share-of-voice, and citation placement metrics.
• Utilize Profound, Ahrefs, and other enterprise platforms to assess AI search performance.
• Implement SEO and content marketing best practices in GEO initiatives and web projects.
• Optimize content for Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) extraction and Information Gain.
• Collaborate with Content Marketing teams to address competitive content gaps and generate new content.
• Act as a GEO advocate across SEO, Affiliate, Product Marketing, Legal, Creative, Editorial, and Web teams.
• Leverage AI tools, prompts, Claude, Gemini, and Python scripts to streamline target discovery, sentiment categorization, and performance reporting with human oversight.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience overseeing organic search (SEO), digital outreach, or content marketing strategies for multi-website portfolios.
• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and AI search strategy.
• Proven experience in leading cross-functional project workflows and executing off-page outreach campaigns.
• Strong understanding of generative search, Large Language Model (LLM) retrieval mechanics, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts, and entity-based SEO frameworks.
• Solid foundation in keyword research, search intent mapping, metadata, on-page optimizations, content marketing best practices, and internal link architecture.
• Advanced proficiency in Profound, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, and Looker Studio.
• Demonstrated success in securing brand mentions, guest contributions, and high-authority citations across industry publications, news outlets, and specialized educational portals.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to translate complex AI search concepts into actionable business priorities for cross-functional teams.
• Preferred: experience in higher education or test preparation/professional licensure sectors.
• Preferred: functional knowledge of technical SEO components, including crawling infrastructure, JavaScript rendering, and structured data/JSON-LD schema.
