Senior Manager, Fund Accounting & Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of fund accounting and investor reporting for designated VC/PE funds.

• Prepare precise investor reports that encompass IRR, TVPI, DPI, RVP, NAV, and carried interest calculations.

• Ensure adherence to Invest Europe guidelines.

• Manage ad-hoc inquiries.

• Compile annual financial statements, including accompanying notes.

• Collaborate with auditors, overseeing quality and timelines.

• Conduct risk-oriented assessments of accounting data, reconciliations, and valuation checks.

• Continuously enhance quality assurance processes.

• Work alongside product and engineering teams to standardize and automate procedures.

• Assist with portfolio valuations, waterfall calculations, and the review of capital calls, distributions, and management fee calculations.

• Proactively communicate with GPs, LPs, and internal operations and technology teams.

• Partner with the tax team on tax-related issues, ensuring alignment between accounting, tax ledger, and investor reporting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in accounting, finance, or controlling (or equivalent).

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in fund accounting/administration within alternative investments.

• Experience in integrated setups that involve operations, accounting/reporting, and tax is a plus.

• Strong understanding of Local GAAP and IFRS.

• Familiarity with additional standards (e.g., Luxembourg, US) is beneficial.

• Audit experience is advantageous.

• Practical knowledge of Invest Europe Guidelines.

• Strong proficiency in reporting processes.

• High level of IT affinity.

• Experience with fund-reporting software.

• Advanced skills in Excel / Google Sheets.

• Interest in utilizing project management software is a plus.

• Analytical, detail-oriented, dynamic, deadline-driven, and eager to learn continuously.

• Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.

• Proficiency in German is a plus.
