Senior Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Retail FP&A Director to create top-down quarterly forecasts and the annual budget.

• Set financial objectives and allocate resources alongside key stakeholders.

• Ensure precise and timely financial reporting for the retail sector.

• Work with Accounting, Finance, and Data Engineering to uphold data accuracy.

• Assist in the rollout of a new merchandise financial planning system.

• Lead a cross-functional team comprising IT, Finance, Inventory Management, Merchandising, and Accounting to ensure project completion.

• Supervise variance, trend, and profitability analyses.

• Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

• Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to explore business alternatives.

• Construct financial models to aid strategic decision-making and long-term planning.

• Assess business units, product lines, and projects for potential improvements and growth avenues.

• Establish performance objectives, conduct evaluations, mentor team members, and cultivate a high-performing team atmosphere.

• Manage and offer daily guidance to a direct report.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in FP&A, Finance, or a related field.

• More than 3 years of experience supporting retail, consumer products, or merchandising organizations.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in team management.

• Proven experience in leading budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance management processes.

• Strong skills in financial modeling, analytics, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management.

• Capacity to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence business and technology partners, manage conflicting priorities, and drive execution in a dynamic environment.

• Bachelor’s degree, specialized training, or equivalent experience.
