This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Define and enhance the Financial Innovation and Intelligence capability within FP&A.
• Lead, mentor, and nurture Finance Analytics Solutions Partners.
• Establish goals, priorities, and developmental pathways for team members.
• Take ownership of the FI&I job family, encompassing role expectations, career advancement, recruitment, and succession planning.
• Create analytical standards, documentation, operating rhythms, and scalable workflows.
• Promote predictive models, scenario and sensitivity analysis, and enterprise financial models.
• Assist with forecasting, trend analysis, and examination of drivers such as billing days, fringe, and Protiviti burden rates.
• Ensure uniform analytics methodologies across various regions and business units.
• Advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the finance department.
• Spearhead cross-functional process improvement projects and implement industry-leading financial practices.
• Incorporate real-time data into financial models and decision-making frameworks.
• Identify and spearhead automation opportunities for manual reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with FD&A, IT, and Data Governance to ensure reliable and well-defined data.
• Lead automation and process improvement initiatives that enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage the preparation and presentation of quarterly enterprise forecasts, annual enterprise budgets, and monthly financial reports.
• Oversee KPIs, variance analysis, functional performance reporting, and complex financial models.
• Manage information for external disclosures, earnings releases, investor scripts, and management reporting.
• Provide analytical support to executive management during quarterly earnings cycles.
• Enhance FP&A tools, data analytics capabilities, and the delivery of timely financial insights.
• Cultivate relationships across the global Robert Half CFO organization.
• Oversee financial due diligence for strategic initiatives and offer recommendations to senior leadership.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• An MBA or its equivalent is highly preferred.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
• Minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership position.
• Strong executive presence and effective storytelling capabilities.
• Ability to convert complex financial, operational, and analytical concepts into executive-ready insights and recommendations.
• Capability to align financial strategies with business objectives.
• Excellent communication skills and a knack for fostering collaboration across teams.
• Experience in scaling finance analytics, BI, or FP&A innovation capabilities.
• Background in developing career frameworks or analytics talent pipelines.
• Profound understanding of financial systems, data architecture, and advanced financial analytics tools.
• Proficient in DOMO, Adaptive Insights, Power BI, or similar financial management and data visualization tools.
• Practical experience in deploying AI/ML or generative AI solutions within finance workflows.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or R.
• Ability to guide technical tasks and translate business requirements into scalable solutions.
• Proven excellence in data validation, quality standards, and review discipline under time-sensitive deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams, foster innovation, and drive operational excellence.
• Ability to apply industry-specific financial metrics to achieve business outcomes.
• Solid understanding of economic and geopolitical factors affecting FP&A.
• Experience working within a large, global, matrixed organization.
• Experience in the staffing or professional services industry is advantageous.
• CPA, CFA, or CMA certifications are strongly preferred.
• Successful completion of a background check is mandatory.
