Senior Manager, Finance – Commissions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete accounting and operational management of sales commission initiatives.

• Collaborate with Sales Operations, Revenue, FP&A, Legal, Payroll, and HR to implement compensation structures.

• Manage and enhance the Varicent incentive compensation platform.

• Guarantee the precise and prompt recording of commission expenses in accordance with US GAAP and ASC 606 standards.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of three professionals specializing in commission accounting.

• Develop, uphold, and improve internal controls related to commission calculations within a SOX compliant framework.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of advancing accounting experience, particularly in commission accounting within a SaaS or subscription-based setting.

• Prior experience in system implementations and defining user requirements.

• 3+ years of management experience, focusing on coaching and cultivating high-performance teams.

• Strong technical expertise in US GAAP, including ASC 606, as well as the capitalization and amortization of sales commissions.

• Experience in a publicly traded organization with SOX compliance obligations.

• Familiarity with incentive compensation management tools like Xactly, CaptivateIQ, or comparable platforms.

• Proven project management capabilities, with a track record of leading cross-functional projects and system implementations.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical accounting concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
