This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• The Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst will play a key role in supporting financial planning and the monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, along with analyzing essential performance metrics, preparing budgets, and updating forecasts.
• Deliver strategic insights to aid in informed decision-making.
• Work collaboratively with various departments to pinpoint positive ROI and revenue opportunities, contributing to the overall direction and growth of the company.
• Act as a partner to members within matrix organizational structures, providing cross-functional analysis and effective advice to diverse stakeholders.
• Establish relevant key performance metrics that will serve as a foundation for sound business decisions.
• Conduct variance analysis comparing actual results, forecasts, and budgets, elucidating the primary business drivers.
• Collaborate with regional and local leaders to offer recommendations on annual venue budgets and staffing levels.
• Provide decision support to Asset Management regarding capital investments, resource utilization, allocation, and strategic initiatives.
• Create and maintain dynamic financial models to evaluate business scenarios, growth strategies, and cost optimization opportunities.
• Review P&L performance with regional leaders to discover efficiencies and avenues for increasing revenue streams.
• Analyze pricing and discount strategies.
• Assess cash flow and operating expense levels to guide business decisions.
• Ensure the accuracy of internal financial and KPI reports and conduct thorough analysis of all financial-related information.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a Finance-related role is necessary.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with expertise in Excel and financial planning tools (e.g., Power BI or similar; experience with NetSuite is preferred).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capability to tailor communications for both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Strong time management skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.
• Proficient analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to prioritize tasks and delegate when necessary.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Results-oriented; able to work independently with minimal supervision; highly autonomous; capable of maintaining confidentiality.
