
Senior Manager β Engine Development Support

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
β’ Lead and oversee a run the engine development support team tasked with resolving intricate production challenges across data, integration, and platform technologies.
β’ Deliver hands-on technical guidance in SQL, Python, Snowflake, Databricks, Talend, and API/integration platforms.
β’ Ensure that all code modifications, fixes, and enhancements adhere to established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), validation, and change control protocols.
β’ Drive root cause analysis, ensuring that issues are thoroughly investigated, documented, and resolved permanently.
β’ Enforce coding standards, code review procedures, and development best practices throughout the team.
β’ Collaborate closely with platform, operations, QA/compliance, and business teams to maintain stable and compliant production operations.
β’ Oversee the prioritization and execution of production support tasks, ensuring prompt resolution of high-priority issues.
β’ Implement operational controls, monitoring, and governance processes to minimize the recurrence of issues.
β’ Develop and enhance the run the engine development function, including team structure, processes, documentation, and operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
β’ Mentor and cultivate team members while promoting accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification.
β’ Previous experience in software development, data engineering, integration development, or production support roles that equip the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the role (approximately 8-10 yearsβ experience).
β’ Over 5 years of leadership experience managing technical development or support teams.
β’ Technical proficiency in SQL, Python, Snowflake, Databricks, Talend, and middleware platforms such as Oracle SOA and/or MuleSoft.
β’ Experience in supporting clinical, pharmaceutical, or regulated Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GxP) environments.
β’ Familiarity with Computer System Validation (CSV).
β’ Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, monitoring frameworks, and operational automation.
β’ Experience in building or transforming production support organizations.
β’ Understanding of cloud-based enterprise data platforms and modern integration architectures.
β’ Demonstrated ability to lead root cause investigations and implement long-term corrective measures.
β’ Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
