Quality Manager – Wind

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Oversee Mortenson’s quality system for medium to large-scale projects.

• Execute the Quality Management Plan from initiation through to final acceptance.

• Develop and lead quality control initiatives along with corrective actions.

• Evaluate project plans to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

• Manage Quality Events, punch lists, and Non-Conformance Notices.

• Address issues independently or in collaboration with the Project Manager or Superintendent.

• Supervise third-party design and testing agencies.

• Oversee subcontracts and suppliers, including conducting quality program reviews.

• Guide and mentor Field and Project Engineers while overseeing their career development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

• A minimum of three years’ experience in the design, engineering, or construction sectors, particularly in leading a project’s quality system.

• Strong attention to detail to effectively organize and manage various project tasks.

• Basic knowledge of construction law and commonly accepted business practices.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Primavera Unifier.

• Demonstrated positive and professional demeanor, alongside strong customer service abilities.

• Familiarity with one or more quality systems, such as Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, Mortenson’s Quality System, continuous improvement, value streams, etc.

• Experience in issue management and inspecting work completed on-site.

• Completed training in basic project management and supervision.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Willingness to travel 50%+.
