
Senior Manager, EMEA – Ion Chromatography, Environmental Food Safety Technical Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +4 more states.
• Provide strategic and operational leadership to teams of Ion Chromatography Technical Sales Specialists across the EMEA region, potentially overseeing EFS Technical Sales Specialists.
• Ensure that CMD growth targets are achieved across various countries and product lines.
• Align teams with regional goal frameworks aimed at booking/revenue growth, optimizing sales processes, developing sales funnels, and fostering employee development.
• Lead sales specialists and promote alignment across different business areas and regions.
• Drive business expansion alongside regional indirect sales managers, CMD Sales Support, CMD Marketing, and the Regional IES Service Lead.
• Formulate strategies to meet sales objectives and metrics in collaboration with the Business Unit, Country Managers, and Leadership Team.
• Hold teams accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of sales funnels, forecasts, and pipelines.
• Achieve growth above AOP for relevant product lines.
• Manage PPI project initiatives, action plans, and the development of core business processes.
• Establish and oversee team expense budgets in conjunction with finance and commercial partners.
• Recruit, train, assess, and develop sales teams.
• Collaborate with Thermo Fisher teams to enhance processes and optimize indirect sales.
• Leverage talent management processes to enhance team performance and engagement.
• Develop, sustain, and communicate competitive insights.
• Train and assist indirect sales managers in identifying commercial opportunities.
• Utilize sales KPIs, territory analysis, pipeline management, opportunity processes, and competitive intelligence to drive performance.
• Mentor teams on product portfolios, application areas, balanced selling, customer interactions, and issue resolution.
• Set SMART objectives and convert strategies into operational plans.
• Encourage innovative thinking to overcome challenges and meet business goals.
• Bachelor’s degree in Science.
• Proven dynamic commercial business experience is essential.
• Strong track record in people leadership, including experience in a matrixed environment.
• Capacity to inspire, influence, and lead others effectively.
• Excellent mentoring and development capabilities.
• Demonstrated dedication to customer satisfaction.
• Skill in building and maintaining processes and procedures.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
