This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +1 more state.
• Oversee three teams dedicated to quality platforms and developer enablement.
• Establish the strategy and roadmap for platforms utilized by Splunk’s internal engineering community.
• Lead the delivery of capabilities that enhance software quality and boost release confidence.
• Support teams in their transition through architectural and platform changes.
• Balance long-term strategic vision with immediate delivery goals.
• Achieve quantifiable improvements in reliability, adoption, and developer productivity.
• Collaborate with senior engineering leaders on technical aspirations and tangible outcomes.
• Guide efforts through a manager-of-managers framework.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience in building, testing, and releasing software at scale.
• At least 3 years of experience in leading engineering teams, with responsibilities including delivery, staffing, performance, or technical guidance.
• Proven track record in defining strategy, creating roadmaps, and delivering internal platform capabilities for engineering stakeholders.
• Familiarity with automated testing, quality frameworks, release pipelines, developer tools, or similar software delivery systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience managing managers or overseeing multiple engineering teams.
• Expertise in guiding teams through architectural, organizational, or platform transformations.
• Skilled in setting metrics and leveraging data and developer feedback to prioritize, measure impact, and encourage adoption.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, influence decisions, and align senior technical leaders, architects, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Capable of coaching and developing engineering managers while fostering inclusive, high-performing teams.
