This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the roadmap and execution for data modeling, offering data insights, and prioritizing projects that align with business goals while delivering measurable ROI.
• Responsible for establishing, maintaining, and managing Docker’s single source of truth for data.
• Lead discussions with business leaders to uncover their data capabilities and align on shared objectives.
• Ensure the maintenance of business capabilities, data, and processes while transitioning data services to an optimized state.
• Enhance data models using a framework that meets immediate business needs while also preparing for future scaling requirements.
• Collaborate in the strategic planning process by contributing to the definition of initiatives and providing insights into impact, dependencies, overlaps, and opportunities.
• Work closely with engineers, analysts, and data scientists to determine technical requirements and design, implement, and refine data models for use across various analytical solutions.
• Oversee data optimization initiatives with all business partners, from analysis through planning, design, development, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop data strategy for Docker.
• Create both internal and external data products.
• Manage the data project backlog and roadmap.
• Provide leadership, technical guidance, and mentorship to data teams within the Data and Growth organization.
• Maintain vendor relationships and establish processes related to the evaluation and selection of third-party systems/applications.
• Drive continuous analysis and enhancement of data tech stack features, utilization, releases, best practices, and returns on investment in alignment with the company and functional vision and strategy.
• Establish strong feedback loops with business partners (Onboarding, Knowledge Management, Methodology, Instructional Design) to foster synergies among collective data stakeholders.
• Over 10 years of experience leading teams to develop modern data architectures, focusing on learning and development with progressively increasing responsibilities.
• More than 6 years of direct people management experience with a proven ability to cultivate data professionals.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Extensive background in data modeling and machine learning technologies.
• Experience in product management and engineering.
• Proven track record in owning, implementing, and architecting large centralized data stores.
• Experience in driving vendor selection and managing contract negotiations.
• A successful history of influencing internal stakeholders and managing vendor partnerships.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proven track record of leading high-growth teams and scaling in a startup environment.
• Practical knowledge of the OKR framework is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills to identify key metrics and enhance operations for measurable impact.
• Proficient in building and managing an incident response framework for data teams.
